TNA Heading to Monday Nights on March 8th!
Mike Tenay opened the press conference and spoke to members of the media who were there.
TNA President Dixie Carter came out and talked about how far TNA has came over the years. She talks about January 4th and TNA's record ratings. She says after seeing these results, TNA and Spike TV thought about moving iMPACT to Mondays. She confirms that TNA iMPACT will begin airing on March 8th from 9-11pm, head-to-head with WWE.
Dixie talks about Hulk Hogan joining TNA and introduces him. Hogan says he had no idea such amazing things would be happening in TNA in such a short amount of time. Hogan says he has never been around a company before that has so many positive things going for them. Hogan says this is bigger for him than any other wrestling moment in his career.
Hogan says from this day on, things are going to change like they have never changed before. Hogan says he feels young again being in TNA. He thanks Dixie, her father Bob and everyone in TNA for letting him be there.
A reporter asks them how long they think TNA will stay on Mondays. Dixie says it can go forever and says they have no other plan, this is it. They are committed to making the move. Another reporter asks why they decided to go from 9-11pm and not 8-10pm. Dixie talks about the Spike schedule but Hogan alludes to beating WWE and says this comes from a wrestler's standpoint.
Hogan talks about the Monday Night Wars and helping WCW compete with WWE years ago. Dixie says there was no talk of moving iMPACT to three hours. Another reporter asks if there has been any reaction from WWE. Hogan says no and there won't be because WWE doesn't acknowledge their competition. Hogan says the talent in WWE are cheering them on because this gives them an option. Hogan says the people in WWE's offices are running around panicking though.
Dixie says she wants to give the wrestling fans something to be proud of again and talks about TNA continuing to grow. Hogan says working at TNA is like going to church. Hogan puts over TNA some more before Mike Tenay closes the press conference.
TNA Going Head to Head Against Monday Night Raw

TNA just issued the following press release:
HULKAMANIA IS COMING BACK TO MONDAY NIGHT ON “TNA iMPACT!” LIVE JANUARY 4 ON SPIKE TV
Hulk Hogan’s First Live Appearance On Spike TV’s “TNA iMPACT” Will Be In A Special 3-Hour Live Episode Monday, January 4 At 8:00 PM ET/PT
The biggest name in professional wrestling history, Hulk Hogan, will make his first live appearance on Total Nonstop Action (TNA) Wrestling’s “TNA iMPACT!” in a live 3-hour special on Spike TV Monday, January 4, 2010 at 8:00PM ET/PT. Hogan and TNA President Dixie Carter attended “The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights” Finale in Las Vegas where Hogan made the announcement in an interview with Joe Rogan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will be going against “WWE Monday Raw” on USA Network, the first time two wrestling companies have broadcast live head-to-head since the “Monday Night Wars” in the late 1990’s between WWE and WCW. This “iMPACT!” special will broadcast live from the TNA iMPACT! Zone at Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl.
Hogan’s first appearance inside the six-sided ring of TNA Wrestling will follow weeks of speculation after Hogan and Carter announced their partnership on October 27 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Hogan has hinted in various media interviews that he’ll have multiple surprises in store for TNA Wrestling fans.
“I knew when I signed with TNA, that it would be important to make a statement with the first episode. Going head-to-head on January 4th, makes the statement loud and clear: Game on!” Hogan said.
“TNA is kicking off 2010 in the biggest way possible with the biggest name in the history of our sport. Hulk Hogan is a pop culture icon, and his arrival will change not only TNA, but the entire professional wrestling landscape. We’re firing that first shot,” Carter said.
Joining Hogan for the three-hour live “iMPACT!” will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion “The Phenomenal” AJ Styles, Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Kevin Nash, “The Samoan Submission Machine” Samoa Joe, “The Boss” Bobby Lashley and “The Blueprint” Matt Morgan.
“TNA iMPACT!” will resume its normal timeslot on Thursday, January 7th at 9:00 PM ET/PT with an encore viewing of the live “iMPACT!” special.

TNA Bound for Glory 2009 Preview and Predictions
It's one of TNA's biggest shows of the year and I must say that they've done an incredible job of hyping the show. "Super Impact" was a 3-hour show that not only built nicely to the PPV but also included Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles in an incredible match-up. Now, we take a look at the card for this month’s event and I'll give my predictions for what looks to be a spectacular show!
- The Motor City Machineguns (Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley) vs. Lethal Consequences (Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed)
PREDICTIONS: The Motor City Machine Guns would seem the likely choice in this pre-show match given the fact that TNA hasn't exactly done much with Lethal Consequences as of late.
- Matt Morgan vs. Kurt Angle
PREDICTION: Believe it or not, I see TNA pulling the trigger on Matt Morgan and giving him the victory over Angle. Even if Morgan wins this match it certainly won't Angle who is without question a made man (pun intended).
- A.J. Styles (c) vs. Sting
PREDICTION: No one is sure how long Sting will be with TNA. Even if he is going to be with the company for an extended amount of time if TNA wants to continue to make AJ Styles one of their top guys he needs a win against a big star like Sting. If Styles wins this match, I think we can all safely say that Sting will have passed the torch to Styles.
- Samoa Joe vs. Bobby Lashley
PREDICTION: While it will do the company no good, I see Bobby Lashely getting the W. I like Lashley as a person but I really don't see why TNA has brought him in considering the fact that he's not going to be with the company long-term.
- Mick Foley vs. Abyss
PREDICTION: I've stated on the show that I don't feel Mick Foley should be in a standard 1-on-1 match anymore. However, I believe that a hardcore match is a different story. Mick Foley is the king of hardcore and I see this one being quite a match. With that said, I think Abyss will pick up the win. Expect one crazy ending to this match!
- ULTIMATE X: Amazing Red (with Don West) (c) vs. Suicide vs. D'Angelo Dinero vs. Daniels vs. Homicide
PREDICTION: Ultimate X has never been my favorite match-up but it does always provide some cool spots. My prediction and hope is that Amazing Red keeps the strap! I'm so glad to see Don West back on television--and as Red's manager! GO RED GO!!!
- Sarita and Taylor Wilde (c) vs. The Beautiful People (Madison Rayne and Velvet Sky)
PREDICTION: The Beautiful People
- The Main Event Mafia (Booker T and Scott Steiner) (TNA) vs. The British Invasion (Brutus Magnus and Doug Williams) (IWGP) vs. Beer Money, Inc. (Robert Roode and James Storm) vs. Team 3D (Brother Ray and Brother Devon)
PREDICTION: Whow, this one is going to be fire! Considering Booker T. is probably going to be leaving TNA after this pay-per-view I'm going to go with The British Invasion on this one.
- Kevin Nash (c) vs. Hernandez vs. Eric Young
Prediction: Hernandez is a guy I see TNA pushing to the world heavyweight championship along with Matt Morgan. Kevin Nash certainly doesn't need the belt at this point (nor do I feel he should be an active competitor). I'd feel that the person who would benefits most from winning the title is Eric Young.
- ODB (c) vs. Awesome Kong vs. Tara
PREDICTION: Awesome Kong
WORTH THE MONEY?: Bound for Glory promises to be an action packed show with tons of high quality matches. Many within the company have claimed that this is the beginning of a new direction. If "Super Impact" is any indication of what's to come, TNA is on the right track. I'm skeptical but one can hope! The bottom line is that if you buy one TNA pay-per-view this year, Bound for Glory 2009 is probably the one you want.

Ferrara was once employed by the company during its Nashville run as both an announcer and member of TNA Creative. Johnson later posted that Jeremy Borash has also been asked to return to the writing team.
Pat “Simon Diamond” Kenney and D’Lo Brown, both of whom were recently rehired by TNA as agents, were also backstage at the No Surrender PPV.
